In this hands-on workshop, Torello Farm's resident fermentation expert, Siyao Zhang, teaches the art of fermenting vegetables for maximum flavour and optimal gut health.
Starting in the farm gate, participants will choose a vegetable to ferment, then move to the outdoor classroom where Siyao will take you through all the steps to create delicious and nutritious fermented vegetables, including sterilisation techniques, tenderisation, brining, seasonings and fermentation times.
Cost is $89 per person and includes a morning of fun, your own ferment to take home, notes and tastings. Participants will need to bring their own large glass jar, chopping board, knife, stainless steel bowl or pot and apron.
