Join Stoker Studio’s resident potter Kate Bowman (Made By Bowie) for two glorious hours designing and making your own ceramic masterpieces at your kitchen table while sipping a locally crafted cocktail by Jimmy Rum Distillery and Roseade.
After spending the better part of 2021 building their dream studio in Mornington, Kate Bowman and Steve Harris were just about to open the doors when lockdown six hit.
“We were literally only a week away from throwing the doors open to our beautiful, plant-filled workshop space. With the first month of wheel and wine workshops already sold out, we found ourselves putting the Pinot back in the box and turning the lights off – guess we should have known Covid would have other plans” – Kate Bowman
Kate decided not to let this setback get her down. Instead, after spending a night drowning her sorrows and building a vase in the comfort of her own home, she came up with the idea of bringing that same experience to the people in the form of Clay + Sip kits.
A couple of calls to local pals Jimmy Rum Distillery and Roseade and the plan was hatched to deliver two brand new at-home workshops every Friday night and Sunday afternoon while lockdown continues.
These sessions aim to bring you the best of the collaborative workshop experience at home, encouraging you to build your skills and make some new friends - and come out of it with a beautiful clay masterpiece to treasure forever.
Clay + Sip Kits are currently only available for delivery to Peninsula locals but more postcodes are being added weekly.
