Peninsula Wildflower are a florist specialising in delicate and unique native florals. If you’ve been to any of the produce markets on the Peninsula you’d have probably seen their stalls – their beautiful floristry is a standout on the market scene.
The team are also proficient in the art of weaving, and as part of their annual Christmas in July celebrations, are giving you the chance to learn from some of the best. On Saturday the 10th July, between 10am to 1pm, Peninsula Wildflower are hosting a weaving masterclass, suited for all levels. Held at the elegant and charming Tanglewood Estate, you’ll be able to draw inspiration from the surrounding age-old eucalypts as you learn this ancient skill.
You’ll be able to wander through the gorgeous 6 acres of vines at Tanglewood to gather your canes. Then you’ll be shown the techniques of weaving, as well as how to decorate. You'll also have the freedom to “reflect your individual style” with the pieces that are created.
Wanting to leave you feeling especially looked after, the team will also put together a delicious morning tea. Tickets are $149.95, and bookings are essential. It’s the perfect way to beat those winter blues, with some therapeutic weaving.
