Jetty Road’s distinctive ‘JR’ logo just about smacks you in the face when you arrive at the brewery. Tucked away in Dromana’s industrial estate, you might not expect this to be the location of some of the Mornington Peninsula’s finest beer.
The story here begins like many brewery stories do: three mates had a dream of starting their own brewery back in their teen years. Jetty Road Brewery is the brainchild of Blake Bowden, Grant Rodgers and Simon Weir, and for them it’s all about lifestyle and vibe.
Featuring high ceilings set within a large factory, Jetty Road Brewery gives customers the chance to see how it goes from barrel to bottle. It’s a meticulous process the boys have spent countless hours perfecting. They craft their beers to suit every palate, whether you’re a first timer or a seasoned veteran. The Jetty Road IPA is a favourite among the locals – definitely worth a try. Inspired by the coast, it’s one you can’t leave without tasting.
But it’s not just beer the Jetty Road Brewery boys serve up. A full onsite kitchen prepares some pretty tasty food, and with ample seating inside, it’s a great location for a casual dinner booking. Steak and seafood nights have become a popular attraction, and there’s even a playground out the back for the kids to enjoy. Yep, they’ve really created a vibe that caters for all.
Despite being in big demand on the Ninch, expanding operations is not a focus for the Jetty Road Brewery crew, as every ounce of effort is poured lovingly brewing great beer. This passion for the craft shines through as you watch the guys at work. Perch yourself with your preferred beer at the open bar, and watch Blake work his magic from the top of the brewery barrels.
Whether you’re up for a few bevvies with some mates, or a family meal to celebrate a special occasion, Jetty Road Brewery offers a one-of-a-kind experience. Head on down to this special Dromana brewery some time soon. We’ve heard there’s a beer waiting with your name on it.
